What is Pediatric Otolaryngology?

Pediatric otolaryngology is a medical specialty that cares for disorders and diseases of the ear, nose, and throat (ENT) in children. Our ENT specialists are trained in managing and treating all areas of ENT medicine:

Please bring all necessary items to your appointment:

  • Photo ID
  • Insurance card
  • A list of current medications
  • Any previous imaging scans such as X-rays (if available)

Front Desk Check-In

You should arrive 15 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork. You can also call our office to see if there’s any paperwork you can fill out ahead of time. This helps us dedicate as much time as possible to your care.

During Your Visit

Your appointment will take place in an exam room. Talk to your provider about your questions or concerns. Your provider will ask you about your medical history and symptoms.

Your provider will also perform a physical exam to evaluate your condition. If you have any previous medical imaging, they will go over it with you.

During your visit, your provider will provide information about your diagnosis. They will answer any questions you may have. You will discuss available treatment options.

Next Steps

At the end of the appointment, you will have a care plan in place. Your provider may recommend tests or imaging studies. They may also refer you to another pediatric specialist.
