  • Dr. Matthew Rondina is a Professor in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Pathology at the University of ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê. He is also the Director of Molecular Medicine at the University of ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê and is the Medical Director of the Thrombosis Service at the Salt Lake City Veteran’s Administration Health Center. Dr. Rondina's laboratory focuses on understanding how inflammatory stress alters platelets and megakaryocytes to orchestrate immunothrombosis. Major ongoing efforts are (1) to use innovative sequencing technologies to understand how gene expression in platelets is altered in response to inflammation; (2) to map gene expression changes to cell function and host responses; and (3) to determine the regulatory elements controlling gene expression and cellular functional responses.
