Spanish-speaking patients can now connect with their health care providers to ask questions, manage appointments, and receive notifications regarding their health care.
鈥淢yChart is a fabulous tool to keep patients informed about their own health care as well as to keep them well connected with their health care providers,鈥 said Michael Strong, MD, chief medical information officer at U of U Health. 鈥淣ow our Spanish-speaking patients will enjoy this same valuable access in their native language, thus helping them to be an active participant in their own health care.鈥
The patient portal also allows patients to view their test results, pay their medical bills, and request medical refills, all in their native language.
鈥淓ffective and personalized communication is one of the things we鈥檙e constantly striving for,鈥 said Mari Ransco, senior director of patient experience at U of U Health. 鈥淚n order for us to provide the best care for our community and our region, it's important that U of U Health is engaging patients in their own language.鈥
The Spanish version of MyChart is available for all U of U Health patients.
